Greek:                  ὧν τινες ἀστοχήσαντες ἐξετράπησαν εἰς ματαιολογίαν

Translation:          from which some, having missed the mark, have turned aside to meaningless discourse,

NRSV:                   Some people have deviated from these and turned to meaningless talk,
