Greek:                  ἔχων πίστιν καὶ ἀγαθὴν συνείδησιν ἥν τινες ἀπωσάμενοι περὶ τὴν πίστιν ἐναυάγησαν

Translation:          holding faith and a good conscience, which some, having cast away, concerning the faith have caused a shipwreck,

NRSV:                   having faith and a good conscience. By rejecting conscience, certain persons have suffered shipwreck in the faith;
