1 Timothy, Chapter 1, Verse 18

Textual notation: This charge I set before you, child, Timothy, according to the preceding prophecies about you, to wage war on them the good

                             warfare] This charge I commit to you my child Timothy according to the going before as to you prophecies that you might war by

                             them the good warfare BH; I am giving you these instructions, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies made earlier

                             about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight NRSV

Greek:                  Ταύτην τὴν παραγγελίαν παρατίθεμαί σοι τέκνον Τιμόθεε κατὰ τὰς προαγούσας ἐπὶ σὲ προφητείας ἵνα στρατεύῃ ἐν

                             αὐταῖς τὴν καλὴν στρατείαν

Translation:          This charge I commit to you, my child Timothy, according to the going before as to you prophecies, that you might war by them
